At the end of May, Katie Hogan from The Ungraceful Guide joined Mairead on the show. The Dublin woman had been travelling the world for a solid 3 years with her partner Luke, and they were weathering the Covid storm in Thailand.

Now 3 months later, Katie and Luke are back on Irish soil, halfway through their period of self isolation and preparing to welcome their first baby in November!

One week home today, one week self isolating done. So, how are we getting on?⁣ ⁣ Well... we thank the lord for fluffy socks, hoodies, housecoats and mugs of tea while we adapt to this hormonal 'four seasons in one day' kinda weather.⁣ ⁣ Officially counting the days until we can adventure beyond the garden and inhale all that our beloved Eire has to offer.

Their journey home was a strange one due to the Covid restrictions in place, they travelled through empty airports, couldn't sit together on the plane, but the hardest part was not being able to hug their families when they landed back in Ireland.

They're excited to be home but they're not done travelling - they plan to get back on the road soon enough, baby in tow!
