Last week Mairead spoke to Aidan Darcy who has just won one of the biggest awards in the hairdressing world, and he mentioned he believed what was partly responsible for his success is using vision boards.

Mairead wanted to find out more so she spoke to Paul Congdon, publisher of Positive Life Magazine, who told her about how to make a vision board and what they can help you achieve.

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals made with images and cuttings from newspapers or magazines, and they're best kept somewhere where you will see it regularly.

The idea behind a vision board is to engage the subconscious mind which works with repetition and images, and help you focus on the goals you want to achieve.

Paul gave tips on the best way to create a vision board, what to use, and the best way to prepare yourself before getting crafty too.
