It's like this peeps - if you're gonna do it, do it right!!
So as I'm sure you're aware by now, The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show team, plus 700 snow, ski, and craic-loving punters are over here in Kirchberg, Austria for the 19th Topflight and Today Fm Ski Trip. We're having an absolute blast (which you can read all about in Shauna O'Reilly's ski blog), and today we made a Kerryman very happy.
Every year on the Breakfast Show, we give our lucky listeners the chance to come and join us here midweek for a trip they'll never forget. All they have to do is create their own lyrics to a song of our choosing, but the words really have to convey how much they want it (like really, really).
The track we went with this year jumped out as us a couple of months back, and has already had a few versions of it released - but none like this! Ed Sheeran's 'Perfect' was the challenge.
After listening through hundreds of entries (some amazing, some not so amazing), we whittled it down to a few - but the decision was unanimous. Cian O'Driscoll from the picturesque town of Dingle blew us away with his rendition, so we gave him a call this morning to have a little chat about it.
Ohh and we also asked Ed what he thought about it...
