You might remember that last year we caught up the author of a new illustrated children's book called The President's Glasses.
Well now, Peter's back with his second installment, The President's Cat.
So this happened this morning at Gill Towers! Been waiting for a while to read him his new adventure :) He'll be swinging by tonight @Gill_Books #ThePresidentsCat @DubrayBooks @KidsBooksIrel pic.twitter.com/E2dLZBshtr

Peter Donnelly is an Irish author and award-winning illustrator. His debut picture book The President’s Glasses was a No. 1 bestseller and shortlisted for an Irish Book Award.
The forgetful President is at it again in this latest work…
'The President has just returned from his summer holidays but Áras an Uachtaráin just isn't the same without the President's cat. Luckily the good people of Ireland are ready to help him. From a Kerry fisherman to a hairy biker and a group of singing hippies, prepare to meet an array of wonderful characters on a funny adventure through some of Ireland's iconic landmarks. Will the President's cat find his way home? And, if he does, will the Áras have a cat among the pigeons?'

Chatting on The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show Peter told us about a tour of Ireland he is undertaking with the book today and tomorrow. Today he’s in Scoil Caomhín Naofa, Glendalough but will visit a couple of places mentioned in the book.
He doesn't like to say the president's name (sounds like Miggeldy Higens) and teased us with "maybe I'll celebrate his second term with a third one (book)".
