Over 50,000 people are on the waiting list for a driving test, with the Road Safety Authority saying people who apply now are facing delays of approximately six months.
The driving test service resumed in July after being suspended during the lockdown, but has been operating at a reduced capacity.
WhileLevel 5 restrictions are in place, only essential workers can attend appointments at an NDLS centre.
