Members of the Detroit Water Brigade have flown to Dublin for tomorrow’s water protest.

The Detroit Water Department is conducting water shut offs which will effect over 120,000 account holders at a rate of 3,000 per week.

This accounts for over 40% of customers who are using the Detroit Water system.

It has been dubbed Human Rights violation by the United Nations.

Campaigners Justin Wedes and Makita Taylor joined Matt in studio to discuss the situation in Detroit and their fears that the same might happen in Ireland.

Makita is a mother of six and last year her water was cut off.
