Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy made an address to the Dáil saying he is grateful for every citizen of Ireland. The president also called for the Irish government to push for even more rigid sanctions against Russia.

This was met largely with applause, bar four People Before Profit TDs who stood but did not applaud.
