Patrick Radden Keefe is the author of the 2019 Orwell prize-winning book Say Nothing, an investigation into the murder of Jean McConville by the IRA in 1972.
He also hosts the podcast Wind of Change, which investigates whether the classic Scorpions song was actually written by the CIA.
His latest book, Empire of Pain, tells the extraordinary story of three generations of the Sackler family, who were involved in the production and marketing of Valium and Oxycontin, two drugs which have contributed to America's opioid addiction crisis.
Patrick joined us on The Last Word to discuss the book.
