When it comes to TV coverage of the US election, many in Ireland have been tuning into CNN.

Anderson Cooper delivered a brutal summary of Donald Trump's behaviour during last night's White House speech, likening the president to "an obese turtle flailing in the hot sun."

Viewers have also been impressed with another of CNN's anchors, John King, for his tireless performance as he rattled off election results and statistics with the help of an interactive map.
