The Oireachtas Education Committee has issued a major report into relationships and sexuality education in our schools and has recommended a radical overhaul in the way it is taught.

The current curriculum was introduced in 1999.

Elaine Byrnes, Doctoral Researcher in Psychology at NUI Galway, psychotherapist and author Stella O'Malley and Harry McCann, Editor in Chief of Trendster.ie, joined us to discuss the way sex education is currently taught and what changes need to be made, particularly in relation to consent, LGBT relationships, pornography and the removal of religion from the curriculum.
