The choice of our judging panel for Full Forward on the 15 for 15 selection is: Galway’s Páraic Joyce.
To dominate the biggest day in the sport – to completely deliver on the biggest stage is rare in a 15 man game – but Killererin clubman Páraic Joyce did that in 2001.
After the disappointment of losing the previous year’s All Ireland Final in a replay, Joyce would kick 10 points of Galway’s total of 17 against Meath, half of them from play. It was a performance for the ages.
Joyce would continue in the maroon and white until 2012. He had a brilliant ability to pick off points, vision and strength.
He was indispensible to the Galway cause and would end his career with 2 Celtic Crosses and 3 All star awards.
Congratulations to Tom Nolan, who selected Pádraic, and who has won a SKY package for a year.
Tomorrow we will reveal the Left Corner Forward, the final position on the 15 for 15.
