The choice of our judging panel for Goalkeeper on the 15 for 15 selection is Dublin's Stephen Cluxton.
It was the 72nd minute of the 2011 All Ireland Final - and up stepped Cluxton to a 45 metre free that would win the Dubs the Sam Maguire Cup for the first time in 16 years. There was never any doubt as the ball sailed over the bar, cueing wild celebrations at Croke Park. For the private Parnells clubman Cluxton, it was back to the dressing room and away from the limelight.
In 2013 Stephen Cluxton would captain Dublin to their second All Ireland title in three years.
A winner of 5 All Stars, Cluxton has changed modern goalkeeping. His kick outs land on a sixpence and his accuracy and use of possession have not only baffled the opposition, but have acted as the foundation for Dublin's success in recent years.
