The choice of our judging panel for Left Half Back on the 15 for 15 selection is Tyrone’s Philip Jordan.
In 2005, when Tyrone beat Kerry to win an epic All Ireland Final, one of the games of the decade, it was wing back Jordan that surged up the field to kick the final point and secure Tyrone their second Sam Maguire Cup.
The Moy clubman was a vital cog in the Mickey Harte machine, winning All Irelands in 2003, 5 and 8 and a recipient of 4 All Star awards.
One of the best number 7s around, Jordan consistently delivered on the big days. He was, as one of our judges described, ‘A Rolls Royce’ player – brilliant at the back and with the breaking ball, and a foundation of devastating attacks at the other end.
