It is a day that will be recounted for years to come at Monaghan Rugby Club.
Hundreds of Irish fans descended on the rural setting of Rafeenan in Ballinode to watch Joe Schmidt put the National squad through their paces in an open training session.
Local favourite Tommy Bowe may have been Provincial duty, but the Ulster trio of Rory Best, Iain Henderson and Andrew Trimble were back in action, following illness and injury.
Johnny Sexton, Conor Murray and Rob Kearney were among those who watched from the side-lines as the Under 20s team provided the opposition.
Ross Lindsay was there to sample the atmosphere.
