It's time for the daily London Irish transfer update.

Every day this week, the Exiles have topped one signing with another, adding layer upon layer to the team that will return to the Gallagher Premiership next season.

The latest is another Wallaby - a fourth Australian international - with powerful lock Adam Coleman arriving from the Melbourne Rebels after the World Cup.

The 27 year old has been a near-constant presence in the second row for the last couple of years under Michael Cheika, picking up 31 test caps since his debut in 2016.

The Tasmanian-born star - who stands at 6 foot 7 inches and hits the scales at more than 120kg - will join international teammates Sekope Kepu, Nick Phipps and Curtis Rona at the Brentford-bound club next season.

He says the lofty ambitions of Declan Kidney's side were a decisive factor in the move.

"I’m really looking forward to joining London Irish."

"It’s been clear talking to Declan and Les that they’ve got big ambitions for the club, and as well as a good squad already in place, they are making some exciting signings as well. The plans for moving back into London look really good as well, and it will be a privilege to be a part of that journey.

"Before I move to London I’ll be fully committed to having a good Super Rugby campaign in Melbourne and hopefully helping Australia achieve success in the World Cup."

London Irish director of rugby Declan Kidney says that the signing of Adam was an exciting one for the club.

"We have a strong set of forwards, but know that we need strength in depth if we want to be competitive. Adam is a quality player and we’re delighted he has chosen to come and join London Irish. We are looking forward to welcoming him to Hazelwood later in the year."
