It's looking more and more likley that Andy Lee's next fight will be in September.
The WBO Middleweight champion is set to face the unbeaten Billy Joe Saunders who himself is due to return to the ring on the 24th of July.
Lee has been sidelined with a shoulder injury and hasn't fought since his non-title bout against Peter Quillin in New York in April which ended in a draw after Quillin failed to make weight.
Lee was crowned world champion last December with a stunning finish against Matt Korobov:
No doubt Lee would love to defend his crown at Thomond Park in Limerick and September 5th is the date the Saunders fight could take place which also happens to be the night before the All Ireland hurling final at Croke Park.
Saunders is a southpaw like Andy Lee and he's already beaten Corkman Gary " Spike " O'Sullivan and his last fight was a split decision win against Chris Eubank, Jr:
