Joe Schmidt may pull a surprise or two to ensure Ireland beat Argentina this weekend and secure their place in the semi finals for the first time. A coach who leaves few stones unturned may have delved back into history to an almost parallel universe.

It is 1999 and Warren Gatland is in charge of the Irish team. Having done the unthinkable, claimed the Argentine pack is over the hill, his side are trailing the Pumas with seconds remaining in do or die World Cup showdown. The winners will play a quarter final at Lansdowne Road next week, so Gatland deploys his secret weapon 'the 13 man line out.'
