Ireland's defence coach Les Kiss is being kept up at night as he plans to keep a star studded Barbarians attack at bay. Joe Schmidt's men will come against the likes of Joe Rokocoko, Gio Aplon and Tusi Pisi when they play the invitational side at Thomond Park.

With Munster preparing for the Pro 12 final and with Connacht recovering from their agonising European Champions Cup playoff defeat to Gloucester, Ireland have named a squad of Leinster and Ulster players including seven who have yet to be capped.

Kiss says it is a good opportunity for the likes of  Jack Conan, Stuart McCloskey and Cian Kelleher to get some international experience.  It also a chance for the likes of Chris Henry, Paddy Jackson and Craig Gilroy to get back in a green shirt ahead of the World Cup warm up games. Gilroy scored a try when making his Ireland debut against the Baabaas at Kingsholm in 2012,  a match Ireland lost by a single point.

Ireland conceded just three trys while winning the 2015 Six Nations Championship, but Les Kiss says his defensive system will be severely tested by a team, who tradition dictates, will play an open and exciting brand of rugby.
