After losing on the opening night to the reigning champions Dundalk, Shamrock Rovers picked up their first win of the new season on Friday, earning some precious Dublin bragging rights in the process.
They ploughed through the difficult conditions in Tallaght to see off rivals Bohemians 2-1, and after the game Rovers manager Stephen Bradley told our Philip Egan that the three points were all that mattered on such a tough night for football.
Brian Kerr was also in Tallaght to watch the game, and speaking to Phil on Premier League Live yesterday he said that Shamrock Rovers may not be ready to challenge for the title, but that they are making progress.
Kerr also held out on making his prediction for where the title will end up, choosing instead to watch Cork City live before he makes up his mind.
