Manchester City are the only side with a 100% record in the Barclays Premier League this season and their 2-0 win away to Everton was another impressive performance. City have scored eight goals and are yet to concede in their opening three games with Aleksandar Kolarov and Samir Nasri on target at Goodison Park. Manuel Pellegrini was under pressure last season but since he signed a new contract early this season things have gone better than he could have imagined.

Like City, Liverpool are yet to concede a goal this season with their latest clean sheet coming in a 0-0 draw away to Arsenal. Brendan Rodgers side were the better side in the first half and hit the woodwork twice while Christian Benteke should have scored his second goal of the season only to be denied by Petr Cech. Liverpool only took one point from their four away games away to the top four last season but the Merseysiders seem to have a lot more steel about them. Joe Gomez is only 18 and it’s hard to believe he only played 21 games before his move from Charlton. Arsenal are yet to score at the Emirates this season although Aaron Ramsey will feel his goal should have stood.

Manchester United also had cause for complaint with officials at Old Trafford in their 0-0 draw against Newcastle. How Wayne Rooney could have done with the flag staying down as he’s gone 858 minutes without a goal for United. United have only scored twice this season and one of those goals was an own goal but their defence has looked solid with Chris Smalling and Daley Blind in central defence. It’s the first time since 2005 that United have started the season with three clean sheets.

Reigning champions Chelsea are up and running and it wasn’t a bad debut for Pedro. The Spaniard scored one and set up Diego Costa in Chelsea’s 3-2 win away to West Brom. For the second week in a row John Terry didn’t finish the game with the Chelsea captain sent off for a foul on Salomon Rondon. The Baggies are bottom of the league but they have played City and Chelsea and remember Tony Puils has never been relegated from the top flight. Pulis is unhappy with the interest in Sadio Berahino from Tottenham.

Leicester City are still unbeaten thanks to another superb goal from Riyad Mahrez who got the equaliser in their 1-1 draw with Tottenham at the King Power Stadium.

Bournemouth got their first ever goal in the Premier League but more importantly for Eddie Howe’s side they got their first win with a 4-3 victory away to West Ham. Callum Wilson put three past Republic of Ireland international Darren Randolph who has now conceded 20 goals in his last four games against Bournemouth.

Sunderland got their first point of the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Swansea as John O’Shea came into the Black Cats side. Bafetimbi Gomis was on target for the Swans to make it 8 in 9 for him.

Jack Butland was in fine form for Stoke who came away from Carrow Road with a 1-1 draw against Norwich. Xherdan Shaqiri marked his debut with an assist for the Potters.

Bakary Sako got the winner for Crystal Palace who beat Aston Villa 2-1 at Selhurst Park and having gone the entire Championship season without a scoreless draw, Watford drew 0-0 at home to Southampton to register their second goalless draw of the season.
