In 1995 the senior hurlers of Clare made Irish sporting history, winning a first Munster title in 63 years, before going on to win the All Ireland for the first time since 1914.

Managed by Ger Loughnane, and captained by Anthony Daly, the Banner caught the nation's imagination and forced Cork, Kilkenny and Tipperary to sit up and take notice.

A further All Ireland success would follow in 1997, but it was the Munster Final win over Limerick in July 1995 that lit the fuse.

Tipperary and Waterford contest the 2015 Munster decider in Thurles on Sunday.
