Remember Michael Essien?

He was at Chelsea from 2005 to 2014 and during that time he won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, four FA Cups and one League Cup.

The 34 year old has joined Indonesian side Persib Bandung.

The Ghanaian is the most high profile player to move to Indonesia since the 90's when Cameroon's Roger Milla and Argentine World Cup winner Mario Kempes both played in the country.

Essien moved from Lyon to Chelsea in August 2005 and also had spells at Real Madrid, AC Milan and Panathinaikos. He didn't take long to settle into the first team under Jose Mourinho who nicknamed him " The Train ". Essien also starred under Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge and not only was he a machine in midfield, he could also score some great goals.

Essien hit this screamer against Arsenal in 2006/07 season:

This one against Barcelona in 2009 wasn't half bad either:

Essien also played at two World Cups for Ghana, before retiring after the 2014 tournament in Brazil.

Essien told the Persib Bandung club website: " Thank you for bringing me here. I'm excited and want to give my best. "
