There's a lot to be said for keeping your word. And when a Twitter follower asked Canadian tennis star and former Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard if she would go on a date with him if the New England Patriots won the Superbowl, he could never have believed it would really happen.
It did.
The odds were long for John Goehrke, who made the plucky request as Atlanta led the Superbowl 21-3. To everyone's surprise, the Patriots came back to win. To his amazement, Bouchard followed through, flew University of Missouri student John to New York and they went to the see the Brooklyn Nets.
Apparently it all went well. Bouchard called John 'a very nice boy'.
So who would your dream tennis date be? Gents - Eugenie, or Maria Sharapova (if she ever comes back)?
Ladies - Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal?
