Chelsea's defence of the Premier League title has got off to a disastrous start, with a 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge which saw the Blues lose both Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas to red cards.

While Antonio Conte has added to his squad this summer with the major signings of Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Antonio Rudiger, they've also continued to let players leave the club.

In total 20 players have left this summer, with the likes of Nemanja Matic, Nathan Ake, Bertrand Traore and Nathaniel Chalobah all moving on permanent deals, while Kurt Zouma is one of many who have departed on loan.

Record signing Alvaro Morata may have been able to come off the bench to briefly give Chelsea hope, but the remainder of Conte's subs looked rather uninspiring, such as Fikayo Tomori, Charly Musonda and Kyle Scott.

Brian Kerr was on commentary duty for Premier League Live with Sky Sports at Stamford Bridge, and was hugely critical of Chelsea's transfer policy, which he says is leaving Chelsea short in several areas.
