All-Ireland Hurling quarter-finals heading back to Croke Park


For the first time in nine seasons, Croke Park will play host to the upcoming All-Ireland Hurling quarter-finals.

The last-eight matches will be played as a double-header at GAA headquarters on Sunday, July 14th.

Kilkenny awaits the winners of this weekend's preliminary quarter-final between Cork and Westmeath.

While the reward for the winner of the meeting of Dublin and Joe McDonagh Cup champions Laois is a clash with beaten Munster finalists Tipperary.

Kilkenny's game will get underway at 2pm while there's a 4pm throw-in time for Tipperary's match.

Cork's Pairc Ui Chaoimh was the venue for the quarter-finals for the last two-years with Thurles' Semple Stadium for the previous seven.

The GAA has also confirmed the details of the first two rounds of games in gaelic football's 'Super 8s'.

All-Ireland champions Dublin will face either Cork or Laois at GAA headquarters on Saturday, July 13th at 7pm.

On the same day, Connacht winners Roscommon will take on Tyrone or Cavan at Dr Hyde Park at 5pm.

The victors in Saturday's round-four qualifier between Galway and Mayo will go to Killarney to face Kerry at 4pm on Sunday, July 14th

Donegal's meeting with Meath or Clare will throw-in at Ballybofey at 2pm.
