Ireland International Rules Squad Announced

Joe Kernan has announced his Ireland squad for the upcoming International Rules series against Australia. 21 players have been included and two more will be added from a stand-by list of seven. Captain Aidan O'Shea is one of four Mayo men selected - Brendan Harrison, Chris Barrett and AFL based Pearce Hanley are also included.

Paul Geaney, Paul Murphy and Peter Crowley are the Kerry players that will be involved. Vice captain Conor McManus is one of two Monaghan players selected - the other is Karl O’Connell. In all, 14 counties are represented but there's no place for former Tyrone minor star Conor McKenna, now of Essendon due to injury.

The first game takes place on Sunday November 12th in Adelaide (5am Irish time) and the second test will be played in Perth (8.45am Irish time) the following week.
