It's debatable whether there is a more revered sports star in Ireland today than Paul O'Connell. Since the advent of professionalism in rugby there have been some great national servants. Before Leinster fans tweet their disapproval, even at the height of Brian O'Driscoll's powers the Munster man appeared to be calling the shots in the Ireland dressing room. Insights into exactly what goes on before the teams run out are rare, but there was one in a 2007 RTE documentary. No doubts about who ensured the 'fear of God' was put into the opposition. It's gas to see how the apple tart was whipped out and the hang sangwitches made when the rugby hero

made a surprise trip to Nenagh.

Ahead of his milestone 100th international cap the Irish captain makes up the final part of Three’s three part series which has already included Robbie Henshaw and Johnny Sexton.

The video also includes former Munster and Ireland team mate Ronan O’Gara and Paul’s father Michael.

A great weekend lies in store for the Limerick man who will continue to be acknowleged as one of the greats of the game long after he hangs up the boots.
