They beat USA by 23-17 last Friday and now they’ve followed up with a historic win over New Zealand.
Ireland’s Women's Rugby World Cup team stunned New Zealand with a 17-14 victory in Marcoussis, Paris yesterday. It was the first time Ireland's women had played the Black Ferns. Ireland's men's team have never beaten the All Blacks in their 28 meetings since 1905.
The Black Ferns have won the last four tournaments and have not lost a World Cup game since a semi-final defeat to USA in 1991, making this their first defeat in a World Cup for 23 years.
Ireland's team, led by Philip Doyle, now play Kazakhstan on Saturday. They are top of Pool B on eight points while New Zealand and the USA, who meet each other on Saturday, are on six.
Go on Ireland!
