Irish Rugby launch bid to host 2023 World Cup.

The IRFU have formally announced its intention to submit a bid to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup.

The all island bid is supported by both the Irish Government and the Northern Ireland Executive, and will cost in the region of €1.5 million.

Speaking at the launch in Armagh, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said Ireland would put together a winning bid that will be impossible to resist.

The GAA have agreed to make it stadia available for the staging of World Cup.

The details of which grounds has yet to be confirmed, but IRFU Chief Executive Philip Browne says Croke Park will stage the final.

Speaking to Ross Lindsay, Browne outlined what is next for the bid and thinks it is an important move for the entire country.
