After seeing her Paddy's weekend bout in New York called off, Katie Taylor continues her professional journey in London this weekend.

And the 2012 Olympic gold medallist's opponent has now been confirmed. She'll take on Italian Monica Gentili at the O2 Arena, part of the undercard for the heavyweight contest between David Haye and Tony Bellew.

The 39-year-old has only been knocked out once, but with an overall record of six wins and six defeats in her 12 previous fights, Taylor will be a big favourite to make it a 3-0 start to her pro career..

While Gentili was victorious in each of her last two fights, it came off the back of six defeats in seven.

Taylor continued her preparations with an open workout in Ratoath, and certainly looked sharp on the pads.

This weekend's fight will be Taylor's first since her unanimous decision win against Brazil's Viviane Obenauf in December, which came two weeks after her explosive third round TKO of Karina Kopinska in her professional debut.

The 30-year-old is also scheduled to fight on the undercard of Anthony Joshua and Wladamir Klitschko's world title fight at the end of April at Wembley Stadium.
