It may have been from a wedding, an impulse purchase from a trip to the highlands, or you could be a member of a pipe band, but it’s now time to make that kilt pay.

St Patrick's Athletic are offering free entry to their SSE Airtricity League Premier Division match against Limerick in Inchicore on Friday to anyone who wears a kilt.

While it’s intended to attract any Scottish supporters who have made the trip for Saturday’s Euro 2016 qualifier at the Aviva Stadium, the offer applies to all, be they part of the Tartan Army, Pat’s fans or anyone who has never been to Richmond Park before.

In keeping with the Scottish theme the Pats will be getting in a special delivery of shortbread biscuits and Irn Bru, although there is no mention if haggis will be on sale.
