For counties that may not be in contention for the Sam Maguire, the All Ireland qualifiers provide suitable reward for the long winter nights training. Who knows in years to come they may become an All Ireland B Championship. For the moment Galway and Fermanagh are delighted to be on an extended run after their wins at the weekend. Just look at the picture of Sean Quigley (above) after Fermanaghs victory over Roscommon.
The draws have now been made for Rounds 3B and 4A of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Qualifiers.
The winners of the two Round 3B games will advance to a final round of qualifiers, with places in the All-Ireland quarter-finals available. The winners of the two Round 4A games will advance to the All-Ireland quarter-finals.
