Leinster are determined to right some wrongs when they take on holders Toulon in the European Champions Cup on Sunday. After defeats to Bath and Wasps, the Province face the unenviable task of a must win match against the star studded three in a row champions at their formidable Stade Mayol base.

Leinster lost 29- 14 at the same venue in the 2014 quarter finals. Toulon were again the winners when the sides met in last season's semi finals, although it was a tight encounter that went to extra time. Coach Leo Cullen is hoping Leinster make it a case of third time lucky.

Cullen has been able to recall Rob Kearney, in naming a team that includes 10 players that lined out against the same opposition in the 25-20 extra time defeat in May, while there is a first European start for Josh van der Flier.

The 22 year old will be playing opposite a bruising back row of Mamuka Gorgodze, Steffon Armitage, Duane Vermeulen. Fellow Flanker Rhys Ruddock is relishing the challenge.

Kick off at the Stade Mayol on Sunday is at 3.15.
