Patience really is a virtue.
In recent years, Colm Cooper has been one of the highest profile examples of the weight attached to the All-Ireland club championships.
Despite winning nine Munster titles and five All-Irelands with Kerry, the club title had eluded the Gooch on so many occasions, and the Kerry legend had often spoken about how desperate he was to complete his medal collection.
Yesterday that wait ended, with Cooper kicking 1-2 as the Killarney side fought off Slaughtneil in the Croke Park rain and wind for a 1-9 to 1-7 win.
The Gooch spoke to Today FM's Paul Collins after the game, and says that yesterday's win rivals anything he's achieved in the green and gold of Kerry.
