Liverpool continue their push for a top four finish this weekend with a trip to Stoke. Jurgen Klopp's side failed to close out the game against Bournemouth on Wednesday night at Anfield as their inability to deal with crosses into the box came back to haunt them yet again. The Reds haven't won away from home in the league in 2017 and they haven't won a game without Sadio Mane who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
Liverpool's remaining league games are all against clubs outside the current top seven which should be seen as a positive but I'm not sure Liverpool fans are thinking like that. No Mane, Henderson or Lallana and Coutinho is also a doubt due to illness so it could be a tough afternoon for them at Stoke. We've done a few games at Stoke this season and one thing you get from Mark Hughes' side is a battle. Leaders Chelsea needed a late goal to come away from the Bet 365 Stadium when we last there in March.
Stoke played three at the back away to Burnley on Tuesday night and if Marko Arnautovic was a bit sharper they could well have won at Turf Moor. The Potters have lost their last three league games and are yet to beat any of the sides in the top seven this season. Jon Walters missed the Burnley game due to concussion so he could return and the Republic of Ireland striker does enjoy playing against Liverpool, having scored six league goals against them. Liverpool have won six of their last seven league games against Stoke and if they manage to take three points tomorrow then it would be huge win for them heading into their final six games.
