Floyd Mayweather Junior showed once again last night just why he’s so hard to beat. His unanimous points win over Manny Pacquaio took his professional record to 48-0.

Billed as the richest fight in the history of the sport Mayweather outclassed Pacquaio from start to finish at a sold out MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Two judges gave it to Mayweather by 116-112 while the other judge had it 118-110.

38 year old Mayweather landed 148 of the 435 thrown compared to 81 of the 429 from 36 year old Pacquaio who said after the fight he thought he’d done enough to win.

Mayweather collected a cheque for $100 million but said he will only have one more fight in Setpember.

Not everyone was impressed with the fight itself given all the hype surrounding it over the last few weeks.

Most people want blood and guts like something from a Rocky film but this was another example of counter punching at its best:
