Whatever you say about him Arsene Wenger is a man in demand. He might not have Alex Ferguson's trophy haul but he runs a good business! We all know which is preferable but in the high pressure world of Premier League management to survive more than a few seasons is an achievement. Now it seems he has turned down a huge £30million-a-year offer to move to China — DOUBLE what Pep Guardiola is on at Manchester City. The Arsenal boss was seemingly sounded out with an offer to make him the highest paid manager in world football, even with his long-term future at the Gunners in serious doubt. The 67-year-old Frenchman has apparantly had several approaches since revealing that he is determined to carry on managing next season. He is clearly determined to stay at the highest level in Europe — whether or not that is at Arsenal. Wenger, is said to be currently on £8m-a-year, a deal which expires this summer. He can't really lose either as there are reports that there is a new two-year contract on the table for him to stay at the Emirates. Listeners to the Ian Dempsey show on Today FM are sharp and Eoin from Christy Rings home village was quick off the mark with this tweet when I mentioned it on air today!

Jose's silent burden

You never know what's going on in someone else's mind. Take Jose Mourinho for example. He's been looking like he hasn't been enjoying himself lately. Top job with a top club and no doubt a top pay packet. Why the long face you might ask? Now it's been revealed that his 76 year old Dad Felix has been battling ill health. The Manchester United boss's auld lad was seemingly at all his previous trophy wins but was unable to travel to Wembley to watch his son's latest success in the League cup final win against Southampton, his 19th 'major' trophy. Some things in life are more important.

Serena working on her image?

Who is the most famous sports star you've played against? A new online video has emerged showing world tennis number one Serena Williams challenging two strangers to an impromptu match during an evening walk, asking: "can I play the winner?" when she rocked up to their court. The global tennis superstar also features in the latest Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition (apparantly). But this is a subject for debate unsafe for work. Now she's looking to show her normal side by just playing ball in a park. Is she on a big PR drive all of a sudden? More to the point whats the name of her pet dog that makes an appearance in the video? Today FM asking the big questions.
