Munster’s Damian de Allende and RG Snyman have been the green light to travel back home to South Africa.

Munster says both players "will continue their respective recoveries under the care of the Springboks medical team."

De Allende and RG Snyman were two of four Munster players to suffer "superficial burns" after a fire pit accident earlier in June.

Mike Haley and CJ Stander sustained burns to their hands, while De Allende and Snyman suffered more substantial burns to their legs, hands and face.

"We were just sitting around the fire and one of the boys threw a bit of petrol over the fire and then it caught his hand and he just tried to put it down on the floor and then the whole thing caught alight and exploded," De Allende said after the incident.

De Allende and Snyman will both travel to South Africa this week after positive reviews with the specialist.

Both players were included in the Springboks squad to face the British & Irish Lions with the first Test scheduled for July 4th in Cape Town.
