The new Premier League season kicks off this weekend and with some high profile managerial appointments this summer we could be in for one of the best seasons yet.

The top clubs all have managers who have won league titles in Europe apart from Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino but he did finish third last season.

We're ready for a 19th season of Premier League Live on Today FM and our first commentary game of the season is Everton v Tottenham from Goodision Park.

Everton have replaced Roberto Martinez with Ronald Koeman so Toffees fans will be hoping the former Barcelona defender can replicate what he did at Southampton.

Koeman has already lost John Stones to Manchester City but it was hard to turn down £47 million. Ashley Williams has moved from Swansea and more signings are expected before the end of the month to give Everton a bit more steel to them.

Tottenham were right in the mix for the title with Leicester but they failed to win any of their last four games and ended up in third place. However Mauricio Pochettino has a young squad and he'll be hoping they learned from the experience.

The Argentine has brought in Victor Wanyama from Southampton and Vincent Janssen from AZ Alkmaar. Pochettino has the Champions League to look forward to and he believes they can have another crack at the Premier League title.

Ron Jones will be joined by Brian Kerr in the commentary box at Goodison Park.

Mark Lawrenson will look ahead to the new season too and we'll find out from Mark and Brian who are the title contenders and who will be fighting for survival.

Premier League Live with Sky Sports on Today FM from 2-6pm on Saturday.
