Whether you are from Galway or Tipp you're unlikely to be right yet from the way matters unfolded at Croke Park in the second All Ireland Senior Hurling Semi Final of the summer. What a performance from a relentless Galway who nicked it at the death. But a game played in a great spirit of heart stopping mutual respect. I met a lad in the Croke Park Hotel on the way into the match asking me if I had been up until 2.30am to watch the golf? If you were to watch all the top class sport available on all devices right now you would probably never leave the sitting room or the couch! Either way in the high octane win at all costs world that we now live in it's refreshing to see genuine sportsmanship. Seconds after the final whistle after his team booked a place in their first All Ireland Final since 2012 Galway boss Anthony Cunningham made a beeline for Noel McGrath to welcome him back into the fray following his recovery from testicular cancer. No doubt advising him that he will have better days ahead.

Then after losing out on the US PGA title and golfs world number one spot Rory McIlroy tweeted this.

Surely all in the essence of being a good sport?
