Republic of Ireland and Burnley defender Stephen Ward says Irish captain Seamus Coleman will "come back stronger" from his broken leg.
Coleman is in the early stages of his recovery after suffering a horrible double leg break during the Republic's 0-0 draw against Wales last month.
His international teammate Ward says Coleman has the right attitude for the long recovery process, and says he's looking forward to seeing Coleman back in the North-West of England soon.
"He's a great lad on and off the pitch, and I'll be keeping tabs on him, making sure he's alright and when he's back up here, pop in and see him him and maybe keep that smile on his face, because he is going to be a big loss to us.
"But he's a strong character, and he'll definitely come back stronger."
Ward was speaking to Today FM's Philip Egan on Tuesday night, after Burnley's 1-0 win against Stoke.
