Christian Ronaldo, Luis Figo and Jose Mourinho are among those who have paid tribute to Portuguese legend Eusebio, who has died at the age of 71. Considered one of the best players of all time, he scored 733 goals in 745 professional matches. Born in Mozambique in 1942 when it was still a Portuguese colony, Eusebio earned 64 caps for Portugal scoring 41 international goals. He helped Portugal reach the semi-finals of the 1966 World Cup in England and was the tournaments top scorer with 9 goals. He won the European Cup, 10 league championships and five Portuguese cups in his 15 years at Benfica. He had been admitted to hospital several times over the past 12 months for treatment for heart and respiratory problems.
