WATCH: Quigley gets hometown reception making weight for title fight

If anything is certain about Friday night's middleweight title fight in New Hampshire, it's that Jason Quigley will be the crowd's favourite.

The Donegal native weighted in at 159.8lbs ahead of his WBO middleweight showdown with Demetrius Andrade in Manchester.

The reigning champion tipped the scales at an even 160lbs.

Quigley had predicted that fighting just an hour away from Boston would attract a large Irish audience, and judging by Thursday's weigh-in, he wasn't wrong.

He couldn't help but crack a smile as loud cheers rose from those in attendance, and tricolours were flung overhead.

"This is a very exciting time for me," Quigley told Wednesday's press conference.

"I’m very grateful for the opportunity. It’s a little bit crazy that I’m fighting Demetrius for the world title.

"I remember watching him at the World Boxing Championships in Chicago when I was an amateur.

"I was very impressed by him in the amateur game. He went on to become a world champion. I didn’t think back then that I would be challenging him for a world title at this time in my career.

"But I’m here now, am looking forward to it and really excited to step into the ring."
