Worrying times for Noreside GAA fans. A 13 point defeat to Clare in Ennis leaves Kilkenny bottom of Division 1A with no points after the opening 2 rounds. TJ reid might have hit 7 points from placed balls but the Cats could only manage 5 points from play as the Banner emerged 2-19 to 12 point winners. That's a worrying recent trend. Clare cul baire Donal Tuohy saved a TJ Reid penalty while goals from Wolfe Tones duo Aaron Cunningham and Aaron Shanagher at either end of the tie subjected Kilkenny to their second defeat on the trot. No better man than Brian Cody to turn things round but ex Kilkenny star Eoin Larkin's plainly unimpressed with the new breed of cat!
Not good enough from Kk.still reliant on experienced lads. Younger lads need to have the attitude NEVER give up.too many standing around

For The Parish
Two of the countrys best intercounty senior footballers helped their neighbours and fellow parishioners to All Ireland wins at Croke Park.
Lee Keegan has an All Ireland medal in the poca after Westport became the first ever club from Mayo to lift the All-Ireland intermediate football crown. They beat St Colmcilles of Meath 2-12 to 3-8 at Croke Park. And Kerrys Darran O Sullivan kicked 1-3 for his club Glenbeigh-Glencar as they claimed the All-Ireland Junior Football crown.
The Kingdom side beat Rock St Patricks of Tyrone by 1-14 to 1-11 at GAA HQ. Nice day out for all the locals and a big welcome home to Westport for the Mayo boys by the looks of things! Chomhgairdeachas one and all!

Crazy interview time
Round our way they used to say a good pool player is a sign of a mis-spent youth. Ok I would consider myself handy enough, maybe not world standard! A mis-spent youth could also push you towards a career in the media. And you might think lads in the media have it handy. But how would you handle an interviewee like this? Who's breaking!
MUST SEE! Naoyuki Oi loses to Albin Ouschan at the @Dafabet World Pool Masters and gives another incredible interview with @tonywrighton pic.twitter.com/QbuEMgxqq4
