It's a bit early to pick hurling's team of the year. You mightn't consider a goalkeeper who let in three goals as someone in contention for the hurling no. 1 spot. Certainly not when there were similar heroics at the other end of the field with your opposite number Darren Gleeson saving a penalty, however Galway's Colm Callanan prevented even more green flags being raised by Tipp on Sunday. Seamus Callinan was unmarkable on the day bagging an impressive 3-9, and when you consider the winning margin for Galway was just a point, every save was critical.

The Galway culbaire showed incredible concentration pulling off a number of saves on the day with one reminiscent of Brendan Cummins triple save against the Cats in the 2003 All Ireland Semi Final at GAA headquarters.

Kids this is the level of alertness you are striving for!

Similar goalkeeping skills displayed by Brendan Cummins at the same goal 12 years ago. These guys are something else!
