Munster coach Rob Penney believes Simon Zebo needs to play his way back into the Irish squad.
Eyebrows were raised when the Lions winger was omitted from the Joe Schmidt’s 44-man panel for the Six Nations Championship. The 23 year old marked his return from a three-month lay off with a broken foot in Munster’s Heineken Cup victory over Gloucester at Kingsholm. He is set to feature in the Southern Province’s final Pool 6 match against Edinburgh at Thomond Park.
Rob Penney told Ross Lindsay that Zebo needs to deliver a performance that will “force Joe’s hand”. The New Zealander also says that Munster are still aiming for a home quarter final.
