BILLIE EILISH SWEEPS THE DECK

The biggest names in music were out in force last night for the 2020 Grammys and Billie Eilish’s mantle-piece will be looking fairly full this morning because she swept the boards! She won Record of The Year for Bad Guy as well as Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. Billie was humbled and delighted to win obviously as was her brother / producer / co-writer Finneas O’Connell, who joined her on stage.

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER

Lizzo didn’t go home empty handed, she won Best Urban Contemporary for her album ‘Cuz I Love You’, Best Traditional RNB performance and Best Pop Solo Performance. 'Old Town Road' took home two gongs – one for Best Group Performance and Best Video. Vampire Weekend took home the away for Best Alternative Music Album for 'Father Of The Bride' and The Chemical Brothers won Best Best Dance Recording and Best Dance Album for 'No Geography'.

LIVE FROM THE STAPLES CENTRE

In terms of performances, Lizzo and her flute opened the show with a mash up of ‘Cuz I Love You’ and ‘Truth Hurts’. Lis Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus and all the gang performed Old Town Road. Camilla Cabello performed an emotional tribute to her Dad, who was sitting in the front row bawling crying, Aerosmith and Run DMC reunited on stage, Billie Eilish decided to mix things up and perform her ballad ‘When The Party’s Over’ and host Alicia Keyes sat down at the piano, serenading the crowd.

NEVER CHANGE LEWIS

Lewis Capaldi, who was nominated for Best Song, shared a pre-Grammys selfie of himself, on the loo. Keeping it casual, Lewis wasn’t bothered getting a tux and went with his usual relaxed style, a tshirt and runners. Unfortunately, he didn't win but hopefully, he could relax and enjoy his night to the full.
