Well, the question on everyone’s lips this morning – did you go to Bruce Springsteen?!! Bono did anyway! I’d say anyone who went along on Friday have a bit of a face on them because Bono made an appearance at the gig last night for a rendition of ‘Because the Night’.
The Boss rocked 2 nights and 160,000 fans at Croke Park this weekend and whilst people were complaining about the sound, the majority of people seemed to really enjoy it. It seemed that the majority of complaints came from those seated in the stands and everyone on the pitch seemed to enjoyed themselves. The overwhelming response has been positive and I have to say where I was sitting in the stands, the sound was a little bit muffled but the atmosphere made up for it. Whatever you say about it, he gives value for money, playing for over 3 and a half hours. You just don’t get that anymore! HE IS 67 YEARS OF AGE!!
The Boss has also been enjoying his time in Dublin, popping into The Long Hall for a quick pint and then he headed off to the Stillorgan Leisureplex with all his team for a bit of bowling!
Roz Purcell and Bressie have broken up. Roz announced the split on Instragram yesterday afternoon by posting a picture of the pair with a very short message underneath explaining that they had ended their three year relationship some time ago, that they would remain friends and loved each other very much. She finished by stating that they wouldn’t be saying anything more about it. I have to say I was shocked at the news and when I first saw the post I instantly thought they were announcing their engagement! But, whatever has happened, a break up is hard for both parties involved, so I can only imagine what it’s like if you are in the public eye.
So, we brought you the news that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were to divorce on Thursday but since then, it’s become a whole lot messier. It came out that she was granted a restraining order against Depp and made claims of domestic abuse. Now, Vanessa Paradis, Johnny’s partner of 14 years released a hand written statement over the weekend in support of Depp, stating that he is a sensitive, loving person and that she believes the claims are outrageous. There was a lot of talk about it on social media across the weekend, some in defense of Depp and some in support of Heard. But, the thing to remember is that don’t know what goes on behind closed doors, we can’t make judgement. Depp is reportedly planning a tell-all interview to set the record straight. I’d say Oprah is only dying to get her hands on it!
And just quickly, because everyone seems to report on the bad news as opposed to the good news –it looks like Rocco Ritchie and his Mam Madonna have put all their differences behind them as the teenager flew into New York to visit her this weekend. Madonna and Rocco’s father Guy Ritchie are in the middle of a custody battle and there was a lot of talk about the fact that Rocco had chosen to stay with his Dad but it seems that things are improving. Look, it's just called....being a teenager.
