So, Chris Evans got emotional on the Extra Gear last night but he might be crying again when he sees the viewer figures for this week's show because they've dropped again. 2.8 million people tuned in to see the second episode on Sunday, which was down 1.6 million on the first episode. Chris Evans has been defensive about the harsh reception but will it continue to slide? There’s lots of criticism for the presenting style and the amount of presenters but it remains to be seen.
Abba were reunited on stage in Stockholm last night for the first time in over 30 years! Bjorn and Benny threw a big party to mark 50 years of friendship and history was made on the night when Bjorn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid reunited and performed together for the first time since 1982. To put it into perspective, it looked like this would never ever happen – they’d previously been offered €900 million to reform and turned it down. This is a big deal for Abba fans!
Tomorrow is a big day for Irish duo ‘Picture This’! The Athy lads, Ryan Hennessy (21) and Jimmy Rainsford (22) will be performing in London and the word on the street is that ten major record labels are sending their talent scouts to see them and hopefully sign them! So, no pressure lads! There won’t be a bother on them.
It looks like we’ll be hearing more from singer and X Factor judge Rita Ora soon. She has settled her feud with Jay Z’s record label ‘Roc Nation’ after a high profile lawsuit. So, she signed a five album deal with the label in 2008 but only released one album with them and then claimed that the record label’s change in direction led to her being forgotten about. However, they counter-sued and said that they’d tirelessly promoted her to no avail. But, they have settled out of court and that means Rita is now free to work with other labels and has just signed a new contract.
