Ed Sheeran is so chilled out on his hiatus from music that he’s begun writing reggae music. He wrote a song for a group called Western in London - they’re a trio, and would love to release it as a collaboration.

This is the first piece of music we’ve heard from Ed since he took his break in January to “get back to reality”....although he did also break his hiatus when he jumped on stage to collaborate with Eric Clapton in Japan last week.

X Factor Wannabes heading to the RDS on Sunday to audition are being told by producers to “dress and act like the pop star you want to be”. You need to stand out in front of the cameras as they’ll be filmed all day. They want bright coloured clothes full of personality and if you can sing, sure that’s hardly important.

Doors open at the RDS at 9am on Sunday – first come, first served. If you’re successful, you’ll be called back for a second audition the following day.
